Bystanders help police snag suspected Manchester vehicle thief

MANCHESTER- Police and helpful citizens teamed up to catch a suspected car thief Wednesday.

Police arrested Kevin Denbow, 35, of Manchester, on several charges, including a warrant out of Allenstown and parole violation through the Department of Corrections, following a chase.

Police say an officer spotted a reported stolen vehicle Wednesday near Old Falls Road. An officer attempted to stop the vehicle when its driver, suspected as Denbow, sped away.

Once police were able to stop the driver, he fled. Bystanders were able to direct the officer to where Denbow ran, and the office was assisted by a fellow officer who was working on a paid traffic detail nearby.

Other officers, responding to the call, arrived and took Denbow into custody.

Denbow will be arraigned on Thursday November 3, in the 9th Circuit District Manchester on charges of receiving stolen property, disobeying a police officer, falsifying physical evidence and a hold for violation of probation by the Department of Corrections Probation/Parole Office.
