Bullets lodged in walls inside of 2 Derry homes after shots fired

DERRY — Detectives are investigating two reports of houses getting shot at on Pinkerton Street.

The first report was made Tuesday at about 11:06 at 12 Pinkerton Street. The residents said they were inside their home when they heard a loud noise outside, police said.

Police discovered two bullet holes in the exterior wall of the house. Projectiles seemed to have passed through the living area and became lodged in an interior wall of the residence.

The second incident was reported to officers Wednesday at about 7:16 p.m. A resident at 14 Pinkerton Street said that his house was also struck by gunfire.

Officers observed two bullet holes in the walls of the home. The projectiles reportedly passed through the exterior walls, through the living room and became lodged in the opposite wall.

No one was injured in either of those incidents, police said.

Police believe that it is possible that the two homes were damaged during a single incident.

Derry police detectives are investigating.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Derry police at 603-432-6111.
