Bullet found in downstairs apartment in Lebanon leads to massive drug, gun bust upstairs
LEBANON — Police responded to an apartment after a first-floor resident reported that a bullet was lodged in her dining room floor.
Wednesday morning, police were called to an apartment on 139 Heater Road. The first-floor resident told police she had heard a loud noise in the middle of the night but did not realize what had happened until the morning.
Police then went upstairs to speak with the resident above. When they knocked on the door there was no response.
When police finally entered the upstairs apartment they found a man asleep inside a bedroom, a significant amount of marijuana along with drug paraphernalia and evidence of drug distribution.
Once granted a warrant, police found more than one pound of marijuana, PCP, bath salts, LSD, hashish, amphetamine pills and butane honey oil. They also found evidence the drugs were being sold from the residence.
Seven handguns, 3 shotguns, 4 assault rifles and several hundred rounds of ammunition along with more than $1,000 in cash, were also seized. As a result, 22-year-old Ryan Dionne and 25-year-old Shaun Carey were both arrested.
Dionne was charged with:
-3 counts of Possession of Controlled/Narcotic Drugs.
-1 count of Possession of a Controlled/Narcotic Drug with Intent to Sell.
-1 count of Reckless Conduct for discharging a firearm within the apartment.
(All of the charges are Felony level offenses.)
Carey was charged with:
-2 counts of Possession of Controlled/Narcotic Drugs, one A Misdemeanor and one B Felony, and
-1 Count of Possession of Controlled/Narcotic Drugs with Intent to Sell, a Class A Felony.
Dionne is being held on $50,000 cash- bail, and Carey is being held on $10,000 cash- bail. Both are scheduled to be arraigned Thursday morning.
