Building on Lowell Road to be demolished to make room for car dealership displays

HUDSON – A building that was once a residential home, and then a training facility for the Hudson Fire Department, will soon be no more. Two years ago, the owner of the building at 201 Lowell Road, Dan Enxing, also the owner of Nashua Subaru next door, is allowing the Hudson Fire Department to use the single-story building for training exercises. Back then, Enxing announced plans to demolish the building to make room for an expansion of the Subaru dealership but not before the fire department practices things like thermal imaging, ventilation practices, simulated fire attacks and survival training. And now that time has come. The Subaru dealership has contracted with Jewett Automotive Design & Construction to demolish the existing building, and add extensive landscaping, new lighting and porous pavement. The area will provide approximately 60,000 square feet of dealership parking and raised vehicle display pads.
