Brown says Americans fighting with ISIS should not be allowed back in US

Concord - Senate hopeful Scott Brown is gaining attention through Twitter with his proposal to take back citizenship for any American joining a terrorist group.

Brown is asking people to sign his petition to stop American ISIS fighters from coming home.

After a few weeks online, a campaign spokeswoman said 2,400 people have signed it.

Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen said she agrees that anyone who fights for ISIS should lose their citizenship.

Brown criticized Congress and Shaheen last week for ending regular business until the November elections without taking up this issue.

In the race, Brown continues to criticize Shaheen for agreeing with President Obama that the use of ground troops against ISIS should be taken off the table.
