GILFORD — A pair of Gilford brothers are facing felony charges after a vandalism spree that started over the weekend and cost property owners thousands of dollars.
Nathaniel Gerlarneau, 20, and his brother Joshua, 18, were arrested on Thursday after police logged more than 25 separate incidents of vandalism.
A debit card was found near a damaged mailbox in town with the name Nathaniel Gerlarneau and another homeowner got the license plate number for the suspected vehicle. The vehicle's registration matched the name on the debit card.
Nathaniel Gerlarneau was contacted by police and met with them, admitting to the crimes, and also telling him that his brother, Joshua, was involved.
The duo turned themselves in after arrest warrants were processed for them, charging them with criminal mischief.
As the investigation continues, additional charges are expected.
No specific motive for the vandalism was given by either of the Gerlarneau brothers.
