Broken sprinkler damages art rooms at Concord High School

CONCORD - A broken sprinkler in an art room briefly disrupted classes at Concord High School on Wednesday afternoon.

Police and fire crews responded to the school around 1 p.m.

School will remain in session for the rest of the day, and the damage is limited to the art rooms.

Matt Cashman, director of facilities and planning for the school district, said the sprinkler was replaced shortly after the incident and damaged ceiling tiles also were replaced, making the room ready for use later in the day.
