Brentwood man federally indicted for attempting to purchase illegal weapons

BRENTWOOD - A Brentwood man has been indicted by federal officials after allegedly trying to purchase grenades.

Daniel Musso Sr., of Brentwood was arrested last month following an FBI investigation, and charged with ordering $16,000 in prohibited weapons, including rockets and grenades.

According to seacoastonline.com, Musso was caught meeting with an undercover FBI agent posing as a firearms dealer, who struck an agreement with him to meet in Seabrook to purchase a grenade.

During the operation, FBI agents observed the transaction which resulted in Musso's arrest in the parking lot where the meeting took place.

On Jan. 27, FBI agents then searched Russo's home on Crawley Falls Road in Brentwood, as well as his workplace.

Musso remains in federal custody and is scheduled to be arraigned March 11. He is being represented by lawyer Mark Sisti.
