Rockingham Park will close their doors pending its sale at the end of August

SALEM — Rockingham Park plans to close Aug. 31 to prepare for its sale, according to General Manager Ed Callahan.

The lease and service agreements will be terminated on Sept. 1, Callahan said. All game dates that are schedule through the end of August will run as scheduled but those from September through the end of the year will be canceled, he said.

Callahan said he hopes that he can talk to others in town to continue the charitable gaming that the park offered.

NH1 News spoke with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, the real estate firm with whom the property is listed. The firm said the sale of the park is still pending.
