3rd employee of Phillips Exeter named in 2013 letter about inappropriate conduct complaints

EXETER - NH1 News has learned the name of a third former employee at Phillips Exeter Academy who is accused of "inappropriate conduct."

A 2013 letter sent to alumni by then-principal Thomas Hassan, who is the husband of Gov. Maggie Hassan, said a former student came forward that spring with accusations against Thomas Wood.

Wood worked at the school in 1966 and 1967. He died in 2007.

Wood also served as headmaster of Friends' Central School in Pennsylvania where the allegations surfaced after his death.
