Bow Police: Heroin, $3,000 cash found on Penacook man wanted on warrant


BOW - Police said they found heroin and more than $3,000 in cash on a Penacook man who was wanted for a parole violation.

Around 7:30 p.m. Sunday an officer found a man asleep inside a vehicle the park-n-ride on Route 3A. The officer checked the license plate and found the man who was asleep had a warrant out for his arrest.

Police said while they were arresting Robert Kenyon, 57, of Penacook, they found two plastic bags of heroin as well as $3,300 in cash.

In addition to being arrested on the outstanding warrant, Kenyon is charged with possession of a controlled narcotic with the intent to distribute.

He was placed on a 72-hour probation hold and transported to the Merrimack County House of Corrections.

On Monday, Kenyon was arraigned on the drug charge and bail was set at $10,000 cash.
