Bow dog attacked by 2 pit bulls while out walking with owner

BOW - A dog is recovering after being attacked by two pit bulls and getting 30 to 40 staples in her neck to treat the resulting injuries.

David Eskeland was out for an afternoon walk with his dog Lady when the other dogs attacked from behind, he said.

Eskeland, a Fish and Game Conservation Officer, said they went for her neck and her rear, refusing to let go.

Finally the owner of the pit bulls arrived and was able to separate the animals. Eskeland carried Lady home and immediately brought her to the vet, who required multiple staples to close up her neck wound.

Police issued five summonses to the owner of the pit bulls.
