Boston Marathon 2016: Top 5 female runners from NH

BOSTON, Mass. — Monday marked the 120th edition of the Boston Marathon. There was a total of 30,743 registered runners to take on the challenging 26.2- mile course through one of the nation's most historic cities. Out of those 30,743 runners, 422 were from New Hampshire. In comparison to last year's marathon stats, it was interesting to track our Granite Staters throughout the course of the race.

Boston Marathon 2016: Top 5 male runners from NH

Last year Denise Sandahl, of Bow came in first for New Hampshire women with a time of 2 hours and 48 minutes.

This year, Lebanon's Laura Hagley came in first place for the state's fastest women with a time of 2 hours and 52 minutes. This isn't Hagley's first race where she has ran many other including the 2016 Olympic Marathon Trials held on Feb. 13 in Los Angeles, Calif. Hagley placed 25th out of 149 finishers at the trials within the time 2:43:18. When Hagley's not running she is a physical therapist and director of rehabilitation services at Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont.

Here are the top finishers for the women's division:

5). Leslie O’Dell (03:06:49) 176th among Women - 2,326th overall

4). Mary Klene (03:05:47) 156th - 2,180th

3). Emily Block (03:04:08) 132nd - 1,979th

2). Amanda Deblauw (02:59:36) 80th - 1,383rd

1). Laura Hagley (02:52:45) 30th - 683rd
