Bone marrow drive held today in honor of Hampton firefighter

PORTSMOUTH - There will be a bone marrow drive today until noon in honor of Hampton firefighter Kyle Jameson.

According to Seacoast Online, the firefighter is undergoing treatment for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma after he was diagnosed in April 2015.

At the bone marrow drive, potential donors have their cheeks swabbed and their tissue type is added to a national registry, where it remains until the donor is 61. Donors should be between 18-44 and bring their health insurance cards with them to the drive site at Fire Station 2, 3010 Lafayette Road, Portsmouth. For more information, call (401) 714-6240.
