Body of missing WCSH meteorologist found, suicide suspected

AUBURN, MAINE - Auburn, Maine police say the search for WCSH meteorologist Tom Johnston is over.

The Auburn police along with the Maine Warden Service located the body of the 46-year-old Thursday. Foul play has been ruled out as they believe Johnston committed suicide. An autopsy is scheduled for today.

Johnston was last seen Saturday at Sunday River Ski Resort. He was emceeing their Springfest event. Johnston was reported missing Monday morning by his girlfriend, according to WCSH.


He worked at the Maine TV station for the past three years on the 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts each weekday.
