Body of missing Conway fisherman found along Androscoggin River

GORHAM - The body of a missing fisherman from Conway has been found.

Monday morning, a Fish and Game Conservation officer found the body of fisherman David Baker, 76 of Conway not far from the Androscoggin River in Gorham near the Gorham/Shelburne town line.

The same morning, Conway police issued a missing person’s/BOLO (Be on the look-out) report for Baker's vehicle, after he had left his home Sunday afternoon to go fishing and never returned.

Baker's wife called the Conway Police Department and a search of his cell phone signal showed a hit near the Androscoggin Valley Country Club.

Baker's body was located when officers did a search along the river. There were no signs of foul play and an autopsy has been scheduled.
