Body of 26-year-old Manchester man pulled from Piscataquog River

MANCHESTER - State police say a 26-year-old man has drowned in Piscataquog River in Manchester.

The state Marine Patrol received a 911 call saying a person who was in the river had gone under and not surfaced. It happened around 4:45 p.m. Sunday.

The man was found 15 to 20 feet from shore. He was pronounced dead at Catholic Medical Center. Authorities have not released his name.

An investigation is continuing.
