Body found outside Strafford Inn in Farmington; AG's office investigating

FARMINGTON — The NH Attorney General's office is investigating after a body was found in a grassy area near the Strafford Inn on Route 11.

According to Foster's Daily Democrat, Senior Assistant Attorney General Ben Agatii said the man's body was found on Wednesday morning and that officials have identified him but are not releasing his name to allow time to notify his family.

Information about how or when the man died was not immediately available.

"Until we know the results of the full autopsy, it's too early to speculate on how he may have died," Agati told Fosters. "We don't know what we're looking at, whether it's a homicide or an overdose or even anything suspicious at this point."

The body was taken to the state Medical Examiner's office, Agati said.
