RINDGE - Police are investigating after the body of a man was found Sunday morning in a stream behind ATA Construction on Bradford Street.
Police Chief Todd Muilenberg said a woman, who had been in the area with her children, discovered the partially submerged body around 11:30 a.m.
Police believe they know who the man is, but would say only that he was in his mid-20s until they have an opportunity to notify his family.
The man was seen at a social gathering at a nearby home the previous night, Muilenberg said.
While there was some initial concern about possible foul play because the victim had a head injury, the blow was determined to be consistent with a fall. An autopsy to determine the exact cause of death is pending.
Senior Assistant Attorney General Jeff Strelzin said his office was not involved in the case.
