It is a sign of spring but also a safety issues for boaters. Bob houses on the ice must be removed this week. Owners face a daily $124 fine if bob houses are still on the ice after Wednesday. Fishing licenses also could be suspended.
New Hampshire Fish and Game is urging people to do it sooner rather than later while the ice is still thick enough to walk on. This weekend a Jeep partially fell through the ice while a man was trying to remove a bob house. The Jeep had to be towed off the lake. No one was injured
