LONDONDERRY — Londonderry police are investigating after a substantial pool of blood that was discovered in front of Michele's Sweet Shop in the Crossroads Mall shopping plaza. Police believe some kind of violent crime occurred due to the amount of blood at the scene.
"There's a significant amount of blood up there and blood spatter, which is indicative of some type of major crime," said Detective Christopher Olson.
Police weren't called until around 1 p.m. Friday, but they believe the incident happened sometime overnight.
As of Friday evening, police still had no witnesses. They checked all of the area hospitals and found no victims.
Anyone with information is urged to call Londonderry Police at (603) 432-1118.
