HAMPTON- The names of New Hampshire soldiers killed since 9/11 were read off in front of the American Legion Post 35 on Friday.
It was a somber reminder for Granite State families, of the ultimate sacrifice paid by one of their loved ones.
The 65th name was added; William "Blake" Marston, the 31-year-old Navy Seal from Concord who died in January during a parachute training exercise. His father, Bill Marston, a veteran himself, is touched by the ceremony.
“It’s a powerful reminder of what patriotism really means and what brotherhood means,” Marston said.
Blake’s name is now etched in stone next to his fallen brothers, the heroes who fought for our freedom.
