Black sheep on the lam in NH, missing for 2 weeks in Hampstead
HAMPSTEAD — The hunt for an escaped black sheep that’s still on the - ahem - lam has been going on for more than two weeks now.
Although the sheep has been spotted several times around town, no one has managed to capture it. The sheep took off from Dave Huston's farm on Sept. 12, according to the Union Leader.
Sheila Johannesen, the town’s animal control officer, said she has gotten many calls reporting sight of the black sheep, near and far from its home.
Johannesen told the paper she worries about the sheep’s safety due to recent coyote activity and the safety of anyone trying to capture her.
