The shopping has begun.
"Carmelo Anthony jersey 25 dollars, John Wall jersey 25 dollars, got some pants too for 25 dollars," said Black Friday shopper Ryan Plentzas.
"Every year we put a plan together it's tradition and we came here at about 6:30 this morning," said Black Friday shopper Kristine Kearns.
They weren't the only ones. And even though there were deals on Thursday, Friday remains the big day for shoppers.
"I didn't have any shopping started and I'm just about done," said Black Friday shopper Meredith Dugan.
For some it's part of the post Thanksgiving Day tradition as Black Friday shopping kicks off the holiday shopping season.
Small businesses are getting in on the act too. In downtown Concord many stores offered what they called 'Plaid Friday' deals to keep shoppers from going to the mall.
"It's good to support your local businesses. It's not hectic at all and I can bring my son and not worry about getting pummeled which is nice."
