GLENEAGLES, Scotland (AP) Thomas Bjorn has been a strong presence for Europe in the Ryder Cup having been part of five winning teams.
This year is a big change for the 43-year-old Dane. He actually gets to play.
Bjorn is back in action for the first time in 12 years. The last time he was in the Ryder Cup as a player, Paul McGinley was a rookie who made the winning putt for Europe. McGinley now is the captain.
Bjorn says his biggest concern was not to get too involved with the leadership. He was an assistant captain the last two times. But he says his only focus is on his golf and delivering points for Europe.
