Bitter cold descending on NH today; dangerous wind chill

Saturday is a good day to throw a couple logs on the fire and stick close to hearth and home.

Temperatures start dropping after Saturday morning as wind and cold air comes charging into the state.

Over the afternoon, temperatures will be falling into the single digits and the wind chill will become more and more noticeable during the afternoon and evening. By sunset, windchills will be feeling -10 to -20 below!

While cold is the dominant theme of the weekend, it's Saturday night where wind and cold will combine to reach dangerous levels.

Temperatures will drop to -12 to -20 in the northwest mountains and valleys.

Lows will drop below zero across the entire state overnight, with wind chills feeling about -25 to -35 below.
