CONCORD - Completing the 44th Annual Concord Area Holiday Basketball Tournament at NHTI, the Bishop Brady "Green" Giants swept Merrimack Valley in both boys and girls matchups Monday night.

The boys defeated Merrimack Valley 69-56 in their championship game. The girls also defeated Merrimack Valley 43-33 in their championship.
The Bell brothers - Jourdain & Joseph - who were key players to watch, dominated much of the action with rebounding, passing and scoring to lead Bishop Brady to the title.
Joe Bell led scoring with a team high 30 points, while Jourdain controlled the floor game with 8 rebounds and 8 assists while scoring 6 points.
Big Aaron Svendsen added 13 points and sharpshooter Brendan Johnson chipped with 15 points in the win for the Green Giants.
Merrimack Valley was led by Bruce Barton's 14 points, Ian Curtain scoring 10 and Cole Remillard adding 7 points and 5 assists in a losing cause.
In the girls championship, Bishop Brady led by an outstanding performance from MVP Sarah Thomas scoring 16 points and 7 rebounds defeated rival Merrimack Valley to capture the 44th annual Concord Area Holiday Tournament at NHTI.
The Green Giants broke the game open in the 4th quarter outscoring the Pride 14-7 over the last 8 minutes. Other key contributions by Sam Will with 11 rebounds and 9 points along with stellar all-around play from Riley Bennett helped Bishop Brady win the hard fought game.
Merrimack Valley was led by an outstanding 22 point performance from junior star forward Mayson Kimball.
