Bicyclist dies in Rochester hit-and-run; police searching for truck


ROCHESTER - Just after midnight on Thursday morning, state police responded to Route 11/Farmington Road near the on-ramp to Route 16 south for a reported hit and run involving a bicycle.

Police found a man deceased on the side of the road, with his damaged bicycle nearby. The vehicle involved fled the scene.

Damaged debris from the vehicle identified it as a green older model (late 1990's, early 2000's) Dodge Ram pickup truck. The truck would have significant front end damage including a missing headlight.

Anyone with information is asked to call Rochester police at 330-7127. Calls also may be made to the Rochester Crimeline at 335-6500. All calls to the Rochester Crimeline will remain confidential and rewards may be given for information leading to an arrest.
