Berlin police announce sobriety checkpoint for week of Aug. 7

BERLIN — Police announced Wednesday they were granted a permit to set up a sobriety checkpoint in Berlin for the week of Aug. 7.

A sobriety checkpoint is the most effective method of detecting and apprehending an impaired driver, officials stated in a release.
