Benefit dinner to held for family of NH woman, 23, murdered by boyfriend in NC

RINDGE — A benefit dinner and silent auction is being held for the family of a murdered North Carolina woman at the Monadnock Bible Baptist Church on Saturday.

The community is being asked to come and support the Jones family during their time of sorrow after the unexpected loss of their daughter, Rebecca Jones, the online invitation says.

Dinner and assorted desserts will be available from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday.

The event will also include a silent auction of items donated by local businesses and friends.

Jones grew up in Rindge and attended Rindge Memorial School. In 2011, she graduated from Conant High School in Jaffrey. She moved to Wilmington, N.C., after high school and lived there until her death.

An online fundraiser has raised more than $10,000 for the family to help with funeral and transportation costs.
