Belmont man - on bail for drug possession - arrested after weed found during traffic stop

BELMONT- A Belmont man on bail for a drug possession arrest in December was arrested Friday afternoon for the same crime.

Belmont police on patrol observed a suspicious, slow moving vehicle at a lightly used off season parking lot near Pout Pond.

A passenger of the 2002 Hyundai Elantra immediately hid something under the seat upon seeing the officer.

While the officer was speaking to the four occupants of the car, a strong marijuana odor was coming from the car.

A quantity of drugs were located in the vehicle and Jason A. Reistrom, 18, of Belmont, claimed them.

Two of the vehicle occupants were minors and released to parents.

Reistrom was charged with breach of bail from a prior drug possession, endangering the welfare of a child, possession of controlled drugs and intent to distribute.

The driver, Tishara L. Rollins, 18, of Belmont, was charged with transportation of a controlled drug in a motor vehicle and endangering the welfare of a child.
