Belmont man charged with stealing, damaging and abandoning a car on Shaker Road


BELMONT - Police have arrest a Belmont man and charged him with stealing a car that was later found damaged on Shaker Road.

Paul Noyes, 21, of Shaker Road, was charged with taking a motor vehicle without the owner's consent, driving without a license, false report of an accident, false report to law enforcement, conduct after an accident and criminal mischief,

Police say they received a report of a stolen car from Concord Street last week. The car, a 1995 Honda Accord, was found damaged several hours later.

After further investigation, police issued an arrest warrant for Noyes.

Noyes was arrested and released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned on March 3 in Laconia District Court.
