FOXBOROUGH - Tuesday’s press conference with New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was typical. He was monotone, short and quick-witted.
But there was one thing off about it, Belichick appeared to have a black eye.
When reporters asked the four-time Super Bowl champion about the apparent black eye, he replied, “I think I’ll live.”
The injury doesn’t look serious and, as of right now, we can only speculate as to what may have caused it.
I do wonder one thing: What are the odds the Chiefs argue Bill’s black eye gave the Patriots an advantage if New England is victorious Saturday?
Considering other teams have attempted to use the laws of physics against the Patriots before – eh hem, #Deflategate – I’d say it’s in the realm of possibilities.
