NH1 News investigated a situation at Bedford High School today.
Reports the school may be in some sort of a lock down turned out to be added security measures, according to school officials.
But students and parents weren't aware what was happening.
One student tweeted a message that read, "Bedford High School turns into a prison" and another reading, "We now have guards standing at all entrances of the school so we can't leave...this is jail. Can I graduate please?"
A letter from the principal told parents that the school was working with the police department to increase security measures but added it was precautionary.
Bedford superintendent Chip McGee declined an on-air interview, but told NH1 news this was a "private family matter."
Bedford Police added only that there was not a lock down.
