Bedford Hannaford moves location; public transit users are affected

BEDFORD — Public transportation users experience change after a Hannaford moved a mile away from the only bus route in the town.

Five years ago the town of Bedford decided to pull funding out of the Manchester Transit Authority, which led to an abrupt change in bus service, according to the Union Leader.

The closest the city bus got into the town was the Bedford Grove Plaza where it made stops at Hannaford, and Walmart.

City transit users experienced another change when Hannaford moved locations about a mile south of South River Road.

Despite the inconvenience for some residents, the town of Bedford still is not likely to change the situation.
