Become a lawyer
26 of 43 presidents have been trained as lawyers
In modern times, that means getting not only an undergraduate degree but also a law degree (or J.D.)
That wasn't always the case, however. In the early history of the United States, people could train and work as lawyers without even an undergraduate degree, never mind a law degree.
This includes past presidents like Millard Fillmore, Abraham Lincoln and Grover Cleveland.
