BB gun vandals swarm Laconia cars

LACONIA - Fred Brent woke up Tuesday morning and found glass shattered in his driveway and a backseat car window in pieces.

“What if one of my grandkids was in the back seat of this thing when this guy was running around thinking he’s being funny. You’re going to hurt somebody,” said Brent.

With some digging, Brent found a key chain ring sitting in the back seat. Brent told NH1 News he thinks someone might have used a sling shot to break the glass.

Brent then checked his home surveillance video and sure enough, Brent caught it all on tape.

First a motorcycle goes by Brent’s driveway and then the window is shot at by a gray car.

Local businesses have been calling, describing the same thing.

“There is really nothing you can do unfortunately, just call the police,” said Kayla Fisher, who works in customer service for Granite State Glass.

“I had a lady call and said it was a brick. They threw a brick through her car, rocks. We’ve had rock and we’ve had golf balls,” said Fisher.

Granite State Glass employees even told NH1 News that a customer called and said her house had been targeted.

Police say that the car in Brent’s video matches up with one they’ve been trying to track down. Police say the car is a Toyota Camry and could be a 2002 to 2010 make. The color is unknown but appears dark. Anyone with any information is asked to call Laconia police
