BATH — State and local political leaders and community members are coming together to celebrate the legacy of the late executive councilor Ray Burton.
The Bath Historical Society is hosting a grand opening Saturday of the Raymond S. Burton Museum and Learning Center. Gov. Maggie Hassan is set to speak at the event and U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte is also scheduled to attend. Democratic State Sen. Lou D'Allesandro, who once served with Burton on the council, also plans to attend.
Burton was known for his tireless dedication to constituent services in the North Country, and the center aims to preserve his legacy and political history. The center is paid for through donations to the Bath Historical Society.
