LITTLETON — Officials said they discovered a meth lab after Littleton Police and Fire reported to a basement fire at 25 Manns Hill Road on Sunday.
Police and fire arrived on the scene at about 1:42 a.m. to extinguish a fire which was located in the basement of the structure, preventing additional fire damage to the house.
Two adults were transported by ambulance to a local hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
A DEA trained officer observed evidence of a suspected methamphetamine lab, which was most likely the cause of the fire, according to police.
Police obtained a search warrant to search the property. During the search multiple items suspected to be associated with the production of meth were found, police say.
Arrests are pending following an investigation by the Littleton Police Department.
