Bartlett man arrested, charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography
CONWAY - A Bartlett man has been charged with possessing child pornography after an investigation by the Conway police and the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
William Alexander, 47, of 133-A Cobb Farm Road faces 10 counts of possession of child sexual abuse images, police said.
The investigation dates back to March of 2015. Police subsequently got a search warrant and seized several computers from Alexander's home. A forensic analysis of the computers led to the charges. Each count carries a potential penalty of imprisonment for more than seven years.
Alexander was arrested on Tuesday afternoon and arraigned in Conway District Court on Wednesday.
Bail was set at $5,000 cash bail or a $25,000 bond, with the requirement that if he posts bail, he accept electronic monitoring, stay off any device with potential access to the Internet and have no contact with anyone under the age of 18.
