Barricades erected on Aiken Avenue in Franklin after sinkhole opens; caution advised

FRANKLIN - Aiken Avenue at Sanborn Street was temporarily closed on Tuesday night and was expected to remain down to one lane because of a sinkhole that developed in the road.

Police say barricades were erected around the sinkhole and plans are to have the hole filled on Wednesday. Drivers are advised to use caution in the area, which in on the way to Franklin Regional Hospital.
