Bail set for New Hampshire man charged in women's death

The Associated Press

BERLIN (AP) — A 32-year-old New Hampshire man who authorities say drove erratically as a woman clung to his truck is being held on $125,000 bail in connection with her death.

Police say Randy Baillargeon is facing charges of negligent homicide and reckless conduct in the death of 34-year-old Kristin Black.

The Berlin Daily Sun reported that a state prosecutor said police found a burnt spoon and syringes in his truck and a needle on Baillargon's body.

Police say Black was thrown or jumped from the truck and was found dead in the street in Berlin, New Hampshire, on Wednesday morning.

Police said Baillargeon left the scene without calling police.

Baillargon's public defender Jay Dugay asked the court to reduce bail to $5,000.

Baillargon is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 23.
