Bags full of poop left along road in Rye spark water contamination testing

NH1.com

RYE — Police in Rye are dealing with an apparent lack of courtesy from some dog owners that may be negatively affecting sanitation in the area.

Bags containing dog poop have been found lining the side of Marsh Road the past few weeks, leading to contamination testing for the nearby marsh water as a precaution.

The Rye Police Department posted on Facebook that Chief Kevin Walsh would like to speak with the person or people who are responsible.

Additionally, police ask that you contact Walsh at (603) 964-7450 or email him at kwalsh@town.rye.nh.us with any information about who may be responsible.
