Autopsy: Franklin Pierce student found in creek died of accidental drug overdose


RINDGE —Police say a Franklin Pierce University student who went missing after a party and was later found dead in creek died of an accidental drug overdose.

An autopsy determined the cause of death for Douglas Usseglio, 22 of Waltham, Mass., was "acute alprazolam intoxication" and officials are listing this death as an accident.

Usseglio was found in near campus in Rindge on the morning of March 6.

Based on the report, facts and interviews, the death was caused by an accidental drug overdose, police said.
