Authorities: NH man, 60, hit by falling tree and pinned underneath

BARRINGTON — Authorities in New Hampshire say a 60-year-old man was injured after he was struck by a falling tree.

Barrington Fire Chief Rick Walker tells Foster's Daily Democrat crews were called to a private home around 9 a.m. Saturday. The man had been pinned under the tree.

Walker says the man was airlifted to a Boston hospital. The extent of his injuries wasn't immediately known.

Walker says he believes the victim was assisting others who were cutting down trees.

The victim wasn't immediately identified.
