Auburn man stabbed in neck in Manchester, police searching for person of interest
MANCHESTER - Police are looking for a person of interest after a man was stabbed in the neck Tuesday night in Manchester.
Police responded to the area of 369 Massabesic St. around 11:30 p.m. where a man bleeding was begging cars to stop and help him.
The man, a 29-year-old from Auburn, was treated at Elliott Hospital for a non-life threatening stab wound to his neck.
The man also reported being shot, but he did not have any gunshot wounds. Detectives are examining the scene to see if a gun was fired, though.
Manchester detectives are looking for Derek Sedita, 32 of Manchester, as a person of interest in the case. He is about 5'7", and 135-150 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.
Anyone with information on his location is asked to contact the Manchester Police Department at 668-8711.
The victim seemed to know the suspect, police said, so this does not appear to be a random attack.
