Auburn man charged with OUI in head-on collision that sent 3 Exter High students to hospital

EXETER – Three 17-year-old girls were hit head-on by a man police said was operating under the influence Friday night.

According to Exeter police, Daniel Rainville, 44, was driving a Dodge Avenger when he crossed the solid yellow line into oncoming traffic and hit the three Exter High School seniors.

The driver and passenger in the car were treated for injuries and released from Exeter Hospital.

The teenage girl in the backseat of the car suffered serious injuries and was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

Rainville was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol and scheduled to appear in court next week.
