ATV crashes into wall, rolls onto minor in Hudson

BERLIN — A Massachusetts woman and a minor were injured after crashing their ATV last night.

Sandra Slavick, 34, of Raynham Mass., hit a washed out area near the edge of the trail when she lost control of her ATV at about 8:55 p.m.

The ATV went off the trail, struck a tree, and rolled down a steep embankment.

People in the area stopped to help when they saw the crash.

When the witnesses got to the scene, the ATV was on top of the minor.

They rolled the ATV off of the child, who was not seriously injured.

Slavick was brought to the hospital where she was treated for serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.

Both passengers were wearing helmets.

Neither alcohol nor excessive speed appeared to have been factors in the crash.
