Attempted ATM robbery in Concord possibly related to New-England wide theft ring

CONCORD — Police are investigating an attempted ATM robbery and its possible connection to a New England-wide theft ring.

Two suspects have been charged in Massachusetts in connection to five recent break-ins that added up to $500,000 in stolen cash and goods throughout New England.

Concord police are investigating this case in connection to a recent attempted ATM robbery at the Merrick County Savings Bank ATM on Hall Street on Sunday night.

After the alarm was triggered in Concord, police responded but did not find anyone at the scene, according to the Concord Monitor.

There is no verification that these two incidents are related, but the department is considering the possibility.
