LINCOLN (AP) - Professional and emerging artists from around the country are being invited to apply for the White Mountain National Forest's annual Artist-in Residence program.
The program, which is co-sponsored by forest officials and the Arts Alliance of Northern NH, is in its fifth year. Aimed at celebrating the connections between forest, landscape and culture, it gives artists in all media an opportunity to pursue their art while being inspired by the forest, and to share their work with the public.
In the past, participants have hosted demonstrations, lectures, performances and hikes.
Applications are due April 17.
